Victor T. Bajah is a Nigerian journalist, theologian, author, and missionary whose life embodies the integration of faith, communication, and public service. His career reflects a rare combination of professional journalism, academic scholarship, and Christian ministry, all of which are directed toward shaping society and strengthening the church in Africa.
Education and Academic Pursuits
Victor’s academic journey began with a firm grounding in communication studies. After obtaining his Diploma in Mass Communication (2001) and Higher National Diploma in Journalism (2008), he expanded into advanced studies with a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising (2009). Though his Master of Science in Mass Communication (2015) was left uncompleted, his research in public relations and advertising broadened his expertise in media and reputation management.
His theological calling later led him to pursue seminary training, beginning with a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (2017), followed by a Master of Arts in Christian Theology and Public Policy (2019), during which he explored themes of reconciliation and peacebuilding in African conflicts. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity (in view, 2026), deepening his preparation for pastoral and teaching ministry.
Professional Career in Media and Communication
Victor has over two decades of experience in journalism, public relations, and editorial work. He began as a reporter for The Alternative Newspaper, Makurdi (2002–2003) and went on to serve with Frontline Newsmagazines, Everyday Newspapers, and Abuja Tempo Newspaper, where he covered political and social issues, and even worked directly with the press team of then–FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
His experience broadened internationally when he served at the High Commission of the Republic of Zambia, Abuja (2006–2009), as an Office and Protocol Assistant. Later, at Africa International College, Abuja (2009–2013), he combined administrative duties with public relations and community engagement.
From 2013 to 2023, he worked as Chief Sub-Editor and Religious Correspondent at Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation (publishers of The Voice Newspaper). In this role, he oversaw production, editing, and reputation management, while also contributing thoughtful pieces on religion and society.
Ministry and Missionary Engagement
Parallel to his journalism career, Victor pursued his calling as a teacher of the Word and a missionary. He has served in various Christian leadership roles since his student days, including as Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Students (2000–2001) and later in leadership roles within Bible Study Fellowship (2005–2017).
In 2021, he became Pastor of ECWA Achusa (English Local Church), Makurdi, where he served faithfully until 2023. Since 2020, he has also been actively engaged in cross-border missions with Grace for the Heart of Africa, a ministry coordinated by Grace Evangelistic Ministry (USA). His work has taken him to the Democratic Republic of Congo as an adjunct Bible teacher at Grace Bible Institute, Minembwe, and to Kenya, where he joined Pan Africa Christian University, Nairobi, as an adjunct lecturer in 2025.
